I just love your Paris posts and especially this one! Next time we go to Paris I will be checking some of these places out. Do you speak French? I don’t so I feel really intimidated to go into a lot of stores and restaurants.

Jany, Thank you so much! I’m having so much fun doing them. I don’t speak French beyond hello, goodbye, excuse me, do you speak english? I find that you just have to be willing to try. A cheerful Bonjour! upon entering a shop can make all the difference. They’ll probably be able to tell that you don’t speak english and will transition quickly to help you but I think they really appreciate any effort at all. I always try to order things like un baguette, or duex cafes.. seriously tiny things like that seem to make a big difference. Be willing to look like a dork and you’ll be fine. ;-)
Aw this makes me so happy! Now that I’m in Paris, I shall see if I find those restaurants etc :)

Val, Awesome! I didn’t realize you were in Paris then I looked into more of your posts! So great. Are you living there indefinitely or just visiting? I have lots more to come on Paris including one about there kickass street graffiti which it appears you’ve already discovered!

It’s actually all in my “About” page, I think. I lived there for eight years, and now I’m in college in the US, so I’m just back for a long vacation since my parents still live here! :)
